Denise eats her glucose tablets when her glucose monitor says that her blood sugar is low.. As you can see, they come in all kinds of yummy flavors!

 

Denise is very careful not to confuse these with candy! She only eats the right amount, when she needs them. 

 

Other foods and drinks can be used to raise blood sugar. Sometimes Denise's parents even give her orange juice!
